The Doulun river bridge, a pivotal component of the Jitong Railway electrification renovation project, stretches for 3505.72 meters and comprises a total of 101 pier heads and 1180 pile foundations. Situated in Chengguan Town, Kesiken Qi, Inner Mongolia, the achieved continuous rigid beam spans an impressive 337.75 meters across six stringers, establishing it as the widest continuous beam within the Jitong Railway electrification reconstruction ambition.
Boyoun provided the main pier column formwork, 7 sets of main pier construction brackets, and 5 sets of suspended continuous beam construction cantilever form travelers for the Doulun river extra large bridge. Boyoun attaches great importance to this project, ensuring efficient collaboration with the project. As shipments of materials proceeded without delay, the construction process was bolstered by prompt technical support and field services delivered by professionals. Over a period exceeding one year, they overcame significant technical challenges and innovated, fine-tuned production processes, maintained stringent quality control, surmounted numerous external difficulties in delivering goods on time, and proactively assisted in the timely construction and successful completion of the pier columns and continuous girder sections of the Doulun river bridge!
Features of Pier Column Formwork
1. The main piers are all hollow slope piers with a height of up to 55 meters. The design and construction take into account universal design and formwork, saving the amount of formwork and reducing costs.
2. Standard sections are equipped with work platforms and guardrails layer by layer, without the need for additional scaffolding on the outside to ensure the safety of construction workers. After on-site support systems, the structure is aesthetically pleasing and occupies a small area.
3. Laser cutting machines are used for precision cutting. The adjacent two layers are assembled using internal and external molds to guarantee precision before disassembling and spray painting the parts. This method significantly improves on-site assembly efficiency and saves time.
4. Formwork processing is highly precise and closely monitors raw material quality. The error in the pier column formwork is controlled within 2mm, and the surface of the pier column is formed after demolding, producing beautiful and straight lines.
Upon completion of the electrification upgrade for Jitong Railway, daily passenger train services are poised to increase from the current 13 pairs to a resounding 30 pairs. The annual throughput is anticipated to soar from existing 36 million tons to an astonishing 80 million tons. Moreover, the speed of these trains will be boosted from 65 kilometers per hour to a blistering 160 kilometers per hour, leading to a significant reduction in journey times - as much as six hours saved in total. This significant transformation will serve as an efficient rapid transportation conduit for Inner Mongolia's energy sector, catalyze the national western region's "Belt and Road" initiative, and benefit commuting conditions for over 30 ethnic minority communities residing along its route. The resultant augmentation in local economic development resonates with considerable importance.
