The Winter Solstice, as a remarkable winter festival among the eight major solar terms in the traditional Chinese calendar, has a long-standing folk saying that "The Winter Solstice is as important as the Spring Festival". On this special solar term, which implies bidding farewell to the old and welcoming the new as well as warding off the cold and longing for warmth, Boyoun Company meticulously organized a heartwarming and joyous Winter Solstice celebration activity. The aim was to enable all employees to deeply appreciate the unique charm of this traditional festival and share a warm and wonderful gathering time during their busy workdays.

Activity 1: Making Dumplings

At the beginning of the activity, the dumpling-making area was bustling with excitement. Kneading the dough, preparing the fillings, rolling out the wrappers, and wrapping the dumplings were all carried out in an orderly manner under the tacit cooperation of the employees. Everyone sat together, skillfully handling the dough and fillings in their hands while chatting freely, sharing interesting anecdotes from daily life and insights from work. Laughter and cheerful voices intertwined and echoed, making the atmosphere lively, warm, and full of joy.

Under the nimble movements of everyone's fingers, dumplings in various shapes, all delicate and lovely, took form one after another. Some were plump and round like gold ingots, symbolizing wealth and prosperity; others were exquisitely shaped like lucky pouches, signifying good fortune and auspiciousness. Before long, plates of neatly arranged dumplings filled the tables, quietly waiting to be cooked, as if they were little messengers carrying everyone's longing for a better life, ready to add more warmth and joy to this grand feast.

Activity 2: Making Candied Haws

To add more surprises and fun to the activity, the "DIY Candied Hawthorns" session made a brilliant appearance. The employees made the syrup by themselves. They carefully boiled the syrup until it turned a bright golden color and then, when it reached the perfect slightly brownish-yellow state, quickly coated fresh hawthorns, grapes and other fruits with a layer of crystal-clear and sweet sugar coating. As the attractive, sweet and sour candied hawthorns came out fresh one by one, a strong sweet aroma instantly filled the air, making everyone seem to retrieve the pure happiness and satisfaction of childhood, further pushing the joyful atmosphere of the activity to a climax.

Activity 3: Tasting the Dumplings

After the steaming hot dumplings were cooked, their enticing aroma filled the air, making people's mouths water. Everyone gathered around and tasted the fruits of their own labor together. Every bite of the dumplings was filled with the satisfaction and pride after hard work, and it also conveyed the deep friendship and the spirit of unity and cooperation among colleagues. In this cold winter day, the warmth brought by the delicious food was like the warm winter sun, driving away the chill around them and filling everyone's hearts with happiness and joy.

Activity 4: Honor Announcement 

After two rounds of meticulous and rigorous evaluations by the judges, the Customer Service and After-sales Department finally stood out with their outstanding teamwork and excellent dumpling-making skills and won the [first prize] of this dumpling-making activity! This honor was not only a recognition and reward for their outstanding performance in the activity but also a vivid illustration of the active participation and the spirit of unity and progress of all Boyoun employees.

Although the Winter Solstice is cold, in the big loving family of Boyoun, warmth like that in spring can be felt everywhere. Food has become the bond of emotions, laughter has driven away the gloom of winter, and the gathering has deeply demonstrated the meaning of happiness.
