The Jingning Viaduct is located in the northwestern fringes of Jingning County, spanning over S228 Provincial Road at TYK12+888 and Hexi at TYK12+789. The main bridge is designed as a single tower, single cable plane prestressed concrete box girder skew bridge with a span of 225 meters, utilizing a tower pier beam solid system, spatial dense cable layout, and a single column tower design. The bearings are spherical steel bearings, and the cable stays adopt the single cable plane composed of two cable stays on each side of the tower. The tower is equipped with 16 pairs of cable stays on each side.
This bridge's segment length is standard at 6.5m, and its maximum segment weight is 380 tons. The length of pier table section is 29.5 meters, the top surface of the box girder features a 2% bidirectional inclination, and the longitudinal slope is 2.5%. The bridge deck is 28 meters wide and has a weight limit of 180 tons for the underslung form traveller. The cable traction position is located across the center, with a 1.2 meter spacing between cables and the anchor point of the cable stay is located at the top.
In response to the suspension cables' specific position and the bridge's structure's characteristics, Boyoun has devised the following measures.
● The underslung form traveller design employs a single main beam for platform movement and suspension at the top for walking, and the overall structure adopts a fish spine structure;
● In an effort to reduce the weight of the underslung form traveller structure itself, both front and rear crossbeams employ H-shaped beam construction. To maintain overall stability, secondary longitudinal beams and H-shaped steel secondary longitudinal beams are added between the front and rear lifting points.
● Given the forward shifting of the curved beam and the tensioning of the cable stay, it triggers excessive bending moment in the main beam, so counterreaction positions are installed on the main longitudinal beam;
● The segment length of the bridge deck sliding beam takes into account the requirements of platform movement, stiffness deformation factors, and the overall crane installation factors of the hanging basket.
