The China Communications Construction Company's Malaysia East Coast Railway project has a total contract value of approximately MYR 55 billion. It is the largest construction project by a Chinese enterprise abroad and will be the most watched project in Malaysia and Southeast Asia in the next few years.
The Malaysia East Coast Railway project runs from Gombak in the north of Kuala Lumpur to Wakabaru in Kelantan. The line spans 688 kilometers in total length. It incorporates China's first-class electric railway for both passenger and freight transportation. The passenger train's design speed is 160 kilometers per hour. The design speed for freight trains is 80 kilometers per hour. The offline part of the construction adopts Malaysian and international standards, while all online parts adopt Chinese standards. The project's bridge-to-tunnel ratio is approximately 33%, including approximately 100 kilometers of viaducts and 65 kilometers of tunnels. This project will not only bring 1.5% GDP growth to Malaysia, but also help Malaysia achieve a more significant regional role in Southeast Asia.
The multiple sets of secondary lining trolleys provided by Boyoun have been highly recognized and confirmed by China Communications Construction Company, providing a strong guarantee for the smooth completion of the project.
