Description

Boyoun Form Travellers are used for the world's tallest PC girder extradosed cable-stayed bridge with the largest span and the Xilamulun River Super Bridge successfully closed.

The world's tallest and largest span PC girder extradosed cable-stayed bridge constructed by China Communications Road and Bridge Construction has completed the closure of the entire bridge through the Wuzhou Expressway Xilamulunhe Super Bridge by Boyoun Form Travellers. The next step will be transferred to the bridge deck construction work to lay a solid foundation for the early opening of the entire line.

The Xilamulun River Super Bridge which Boyoun Form Travellers are used for is located in Keshiketeng Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, and is a control project for the entire line of Jingwu Expressway. The total length of the bridge is 2064m, and the total height of the pylons and girders is 210m. It is currently the world's first bridge built in the aeolian sand canyon area.

The span of the bridge is composed of: (4X30)+(3X40) m combined T-beam + (128+5X240+128) m pylon cable-stayed bridge + 2X (4X40) m combined T-beam. Stressed concrete extradosed cable-stayed bridge with a width of 27.5 meters, single-box three-cell structure, pylon-pier-beam consolidation system, and cantilevered construction with standardized Balanced Form Travellers.

After the completion of the project, in order to improve the road network layout in the central region of Inner Mongolia, in response to the strategies of jointly building the "Belt and Road", opening up to the north and developing the west, and revitalizing the northeast, it will create a high-grade Hongshan culture and grassland scenery tourism landscape road, which will drive The development of resources along the line and economic and social development are of great significance.

For this project, Boyoun provides multiple sets of standardized Cantilever Form Travellers. Since the start of supply in April 2021, Boyoun engineers have worked with project personnel to overcome various difficulties such as ultra-high-altitude operations, epidemics, and strong winds to ensure the smooth closing of the bridge.
