In the early morning of June 12th, as the last cubic meter of concrete was poured and the middle span of the continuous girder of the Shangqiu Main Canal Bridge, the largest-span continuous girder along the Lantai Expressway, was successfully closed! 

The closure of continuous Girder of Shangqiu Canal Bridge 

The Shangqiu Main Canal Bridge of the Lantai Expressway Package 1 is located in Lankao County, Henan Province . The total length of the bridge is 622.9 meters. The third joint of the upper structure adopts a cast-in-place prestressed concrete continuous box girder with a span of 75+135+75 meters,which is the longest continuous girder in the entire line. The bridge is a double-width structure, constructed using the Boyoun form travelers cantilever casting method.

It also crosses a first-class protected water source, with high environmental protection requirements and great construction difficulties. To ensure the smooth completion of the continuous girder construction, the project department carefully prepared a special construction plan, held numerous construction special meetings, and provided detailed briefings on construction preparation, material supply, equipment configuration, and safety management. At the same time, information technology was implemented, and cameras were installed at the construction site to realize 24/7 remote monitoring of the construction site and enhance process control.

Before pouring, assign special personnel to inspect the installation of formwork and steel bar binding in the closure section, reinforce on-site safety technical support, and select a time with low temperature and small temperature difference in the early morning for concrete pouring to ensure that all indicators meet the requirements and guarantee the quality of the closure of the continuous girder.
