Description

The Qinjiang Extra Bridge, spanning 1963m in Qinzhou, Guangxi and has a main deck width of 28.5meters and an approach deck width of 26.5meters. The main bridge has a double-tower rigid frame system with a short tower cable-stayed bridge of (135+245+135)m, which uses cantilever form traveller for construction.

The floor beam of the continuous beam bridge, 28.5m wide, extends to 13.5m at its base with 7.5m wide flanges. It's a rare ultra-long cantilevered flange with horizontal partitions under it, adding complexity to the formwork and form traveler design. Boyoun was diligent in innovating and solving these technical challenges and promptly delivered a balanced travellerfor use.

Boyoun Solutions

1. The 0 block formwork was divided into three parts, and the complex flange partition formwork required slope removal to be taken into consideration. The designers created the processing chart and material cutting chart by building a 3D model, successfully completing the processing and delivery of the production workshop through grouping and processing.

2. The difficulties of hanging basket rods are reflected in stress calculations, materials, and structure. The 7.5m high cantilever and 4 diamond racks use two different structural designs to distribute force evenly. Through careful calculation of the diamond rack model and overall cage weight control, we achieved a balance without increasing the variety of materials.
