Description

The Urumqi City Ring Expressway Tiutun River Connector Line Special Bridge was constructed by Sinohydro Bureau 10 Co.,Ltd, spanning a length of 2,267 meters, with the main bridge being a (82+4X150+82)m prestressed concrete continuous rigid frame, and is constructed using the cantilever form travellers.

The bridge is located in the valley of the Toutun River, where the instantaneous wind force can reach a maximum of Level 12, and the pier height is considerable, reaching a maximum of 114.8 meters. To ensure the secure construction of the form traveller and minimize costs for the client, the Boyoun project team employed a multitude of technical innovations and optimizations to guarantee the safe completion of the project's construction progress.

Given that the instantaneous wind force can reach a maximum of Level 12 and that the operation is conducted at an extreme altitude, the design of the blanced forming traveller incorporated local wind load to optimize the structure.The main component has a 1.3 times safety factor under the maximum wind load condition to ensure safe and smooth construction of the bridge.

The cantilever form traveller employs a lightweight form traveller design, which reduces the weight by more than 10% compared to traditional hanging baskets, thus saving substantial funds for the client.

Upon the completion of the bridge, it will alleviate traffic pressure on the central urban road network, stimulate the transition from the original one-hour economic circle to the half-hour economic circle in the central urban area of the capital city, and be instrumental in promoting the high-quality economic and social development of Urumqi City and Xinjiang. Boyoun will continue to work side-by-side with the project department to contribute to the early closure of the bridge.
